How to Play Craps

Craps is an exciting casino game that is believed to have originated from an old English game called Hazard. Another source of craps is believed to be from the French game of Crabes. The point of craps is to bet against the casino on the outcome of the rolls of one or two dice. Craps comes in three different forms – street craps, casino craps and online casino craps.

The trick of craps is to understand all the different betting options and once that has been mastered, the player will find that this is actually a very easy game to grasp. The table set up in craps is very important and the dice are the main feature of play. These dice are created under very strict conditions to ensure and regularly inspected for damaged to ensure that they are not likely to render any roll as invalid.

Craps starts with the come out roll which opens the round of betting. The come out roll can only be made if the player before did not manage to produce a point or a seven out – a winning roll. A new game brings with it a new shooter and if he makes his point, he has the right to try for a new come out roll. If he does not make his point then the next player throws the come out roll. The game always moves to the left of the player.
