Recently I was asked about the odds of several different casino games, and especially video poker odds. It struck me as interesting that video poker odds are actually quite good. In some casinos, the payout rate on video poker is as high as 97%. On some machines, when you factor in possible jackpots, you get even better video poker odds. (more…)

My Friend Rob and His Advanced Craps Strategy

Yesterday, I was playing online craps, and my friend Rob was teaching me his new advanced craps strategy. It was kind of difficult to catch onto it, though. There was a lot of complex maneuvering. At first, my friend explained about taking odds, which is pretty basic. After a while, though, I graduated to his advanced craps strategy. It involved using different bets to cancel each other out. Basic Craps Strategies

Recently I posted about how to play craps online, and I got responses from some friends asking me for some basic craps strategies. I had to think about it a lot. The thing about craps is that most bets have a similar house edge. The basic craps strategies are to always bet on either the “pass line” or the “don’t pass line” bet, as those give good odds.
